My great grandmother died several days ago. She was 75. So for the last couple days, I've been away. And now..I'm back. And I've changed, or at least, it seems that way.

The funeral was long and I'm glad that it's now over. I couldn't find anybody to keep care of Mai-Ling while I was gone so I made the decision to take her with me. The car ride was all too long and I really need to get rid of the thing before it breaks down. It's tough you know, driving at 80 kilometers an hour with your sweating dog in the back seat and french drivers spitting insults at you for your whole 6 hour long ride in the metal wagon.

The metal wagon is the cars new name now. Thanks to those of you who know what I'm talking about, and thanks to those of you who named it.

It's my birthday on Monday, oh joy /sarcasm. So I get to, reluctantly mind you, open 3 gifts early. How delightful. Gift #1 comes from my other great grandmother, a good handful of pocket change that I'm sure will come in handy. The effect: Money is a great gift. But in the case of some people I know, they think money doesn't have any point because the person didn't put any thought in the gift. However, I think that giving somebody money is the best gift possible because it shows that the person giving it to you really cares what you want, they just don't know you well enough to get it.

Gift #2 came from a great second cousin of mine. ((like I would expect a gift anyway)) A few little tidbits from the body shop. The effect: Now with ladies, these are pretty safe gifts as long as you don't get something they're allergic to.

Gift #3 is from my grandparents ((on my great grandmothers side)) Clothes and earings. The effect: Clothes are the hardest things to buy for somebody next to shoes. First, you don't know if they will fit. Second, you don't even know if they will like them enough to wear them. Now I know I shouldn't do this, but that gift is going right to the garbage. Reason why #1: It's pink and ugly. Now they know I don't like pink. I NEVER wear pink. They know I'm not a skank. Therefore they should know I won't wear it. Reason why #2: It doesn't fit. It's a small in girls size! Girls! A small! My grandmother thinks I'm 6 years old!

Reason why #3: I don't have pierced ears. I never wear earrings. Now I don't expct my grandfather to think of something like that, so I can forgive him, for now.

Reason why #4: They can't take it back. They bought it the USA so they can't, no, won't exchange it.

I'm spent.
