I was recently chatting with Amy on whether I should get a domain or not. Amy's had 3 "very unsuccessful" domains. So, she suggests I don't waste my money & time. When I suggest, that she try again as she has actual talent to put on a site. I just wish she wouldn't be so damn shy about everything. I always end up shoving her work into people's faces and forcing her to admit that maybe it's actually good. She's always asking what to improve on, yet doesn't take any suggestions into consideration. Thus, making it all pointless. No?
Kitty drops by and tosses out her opinion of what a site should be, and how the webmaster should act.
The beginning of a very long argument
My question was what exactly is a webmaster? No really. Just because you own a site you have the right to call yourself a "webmaster"? You are the owner of the site. You are "_insert_your_name_here_". Not the almighty "webmaster" or "the master of the web". If you will. Technically, you are the owner of the site you created. Same for all the sites used for business purposes. There is no difference. However, a webdesigner is an exception as it is an actual occupation. Rather than owning a site and calling yourself a webmaster. Kind of a title for people to make themselves feel more useful? Or like they belong maybe?
Domain in the future? I think I'll stick with my diary for now...
